I'm creating soul

This is an experimental project on which I'm going to spend countless hours in and probably wouldn't even be a good product. But we'll see :)

what’s this product about?

It’s essentially a messenger. Actually that’s not how I started. After using Instagram for quite a lot, I found that people actually like posting stories a lot, and saving them as highlights. So I thought, what if there was an social media app that lets you organize your memories? Wouldn’t that be soo cool? And I started my journey of finding if any apps of similar kind existed. And immediately as I started looking, photos app from google came to my mind. And they’ve been doing the same and its actually pretty good. But, I had started the design process of app btw. It became clear that, my idea wouldn’t really work in the current state. There isn’t really a incentive for people to keep looking at other’s memories. What’s the usp? nothing.

This is was hard for me coz, I really though it to be a great product idea. My subconscious mind meanwhile cooked up something else. consider this:
What are the best memories you’ve got? probably memories of someone you’ve been with right? memories of you hanging around with your friends, with your family, those chit chats you’ve had, cherished. This is what I wanted to bring through my product. since you associate all the best memories with someone else, you are also communicating with the person.

Considering all this I thought I could create a messenger that could bring you closer to the people you care about and create and cherish those memories even virtually.

Hence I named it soul, because essentially all these moments are a reflection of your truest self.

How is this different from WhatsApp and all the other highly popular messengers? well, I cannot give a full structured idea right now because, I don’t have a structed idea. It’s still a fuss.

I’m starting a series of article where I’ll try to unwind and bring more light on the idea.
